Bow Technologies ZZ-ONE Integrated Amplifier

In 1995 Bo Christensen founded BOW Technologies. The first two BOW models, the ZZ-One and ZZ-Eight, were immediate successes and won the component-of-the-year awards in Japan in 1995 and 1996, respectively. With only minor changes to the outside design, these two products were still in production up to 2008. The sound is so full and convincing that at first it can take you aback. The level of detail is superb, with every nuance of the recording rendered faithfully, yet without the experience becoming too analytical. Music takes on a new level of emotive power with this integrated dual-mono amp designed around a tube circuit. Bo Christensen wanted to keep the design as simple as possible to allow the musicality of the source to come through. As a result, there are only seven active components in the circuit and a sound that is very "tubelike."
