Thanks for reminding me of your post here on the 801's Mark!..Love the look of the 801's in the wood finish(Walnut?) Better than my Black. Very nice! I will definately try to check out the North Creek version, but yeah, may be too pricey afterall.
I will be enjoying this speaker for quite a while!

Hello Mark-

I have a post on ever evolving under my audiogon name. It is listed as "Musically Satisfying!"...I wanted to e mail you because I saw your system and the 801's..very nice. As it turns out for me...my Dad is practically giving me his 801 S2's in Black finish.They have the Van Al. inductor upgrade fix.. but no bass alignment filter, and have the full Arcici stands. I really liked them and will try them out next to me newer Von Schweikert VR2's that are so popular. The VR's are indeed a great speaker and have awesome bass...but I think the 801's will be more smooth and better dynamically. Just wondering if you still have yours and how your likeing them?
