MBL 6010D

The MBL 6010D preamp is still the best preamp in the MBL Reference line, and that makes it one of the best made anywhere. It has more control flexibility than any preamp I've ever seen. For example, two sets of outputs can be used simultaneously and independently adjusted for output level and L/R balance. This makes bi-amping the speakers or adding a subwoofer easy. The input levels can be independently attenuated so as to match volume when switching between inputs. If you use a tape deck, this preamp has pushbutton control over source to tape routing. There are 6 pairs of RCA inputs and one pair of XLR inputs. It does not contain the optional phono stage.

Most important, of course, is that it has a dead quiet, black background and it sounds wonderful. I'll gladly advise the buyer on optimizing the analog interconnects that feed it, as I have tried many brands. The last photo shows an extreme closeup of the only flaw, a small nick on one corner of the piano black lacquer. Specks in the photos are dust, not defects. Everything functions as it should.

Since I saved the factory's shipping container, it should travel safely. However I will ask the buyer to arrange pickup and shipping via your choice of carrier, so you can choose to insure it or not.
