As you can see from this list, I've amassed quite a collection of gear all in the midpriced range.
My main rig is a Michell Gyrodec SE w/ Technoarm and Shure V15 V and Sumiko Blackbird through a Graham Slee Era V. Digital is an OPPO 83SE and Cambridge DACMAGIC. This fed into a Cary SLI-80 running TAD KT88s into Gallo Reference 3.1.
I've recently moved and had a baby so I now have little time to sort out system synergy and need to unload my stored equipment. I have ~2000 LPs and am trying to rip most of my CDs so I can thin that out. Analog is important to me for dedicated listening and digital for convenience/background. I have a whole house speaker set-up and will use that for background running off of my hard drive. Cool jazz tends to be on the TT most alongside early UK punk and 70s Soul Funk.
Question is, am I missing something in terms of putting some of this stuff together? I come to the forum because I don't want to sell something I might regret later. I need to assemble my master bedroom again, then the rest has to go. Any thoughts?
As I get older I tend to lean towards less is more. Although I have not heard the Gallos I hear good things about them. I would loose the dust cover on the turntable/mainly because I think it is beautiful and I like the looks of it without one. I would probably get a JL subwoofer. And decide which componets I wanted or which to trade up. Also I have been giving as much attention to the room as the electronics. Bass traps etc... And cables and ICs do matter
