I really like the new combo, but the Threshold T-100 was excellent as well. I liked the Class A aspect of the Threshold and it did have a nice warm sound to it. The BAT pre-amp is a major step up from my T-3 preamp.
All in all, I like it a little more, but if I kept the Thresholds I'd still be happy. They were great!

Hi Ebuzz.. that's a nice looking system! How do you like your Jolida JD-1000A and BAT VK-5i se combination compared to the Threshold T-100 and Threshold pre, I believe you used to own? I've owned the T-100 and T3i preamp since 1997 or 98 - they're keepers for me. I also own the T-200.

System edited: I'd love to switch from my T-100 SS Amp to a comparable tube amp. The T-100 is 60 WPC Pure Class "A" I'd like to go with at least 75-100 WPC in a tube amp. Any suggestions as to which would best fit with my rig?
