Klimo Kent tube monoblock amplifiers

A few years ago I was involved in a play in the city and this pair of Klimo Kent amplifiers was purchased for the set. We searched high and low before settling on this set. They don’t look brand new nor are they beat up---in other words, they have just the right quaintness. The play was about an alien who was sent here to infiltrate a set of hipsters in fashionable New York with the goal of kidnapping them. The alien was clueless about their behaviors, intellect, education and other tendencies except what he could observe, and that would be their fashion, living quarters and the stuff they put in those quarters (the Klimo Kent amplifiers being one of the props). He was also puzzled by their manner of speech so he invented an interjection, “klimo”, to express his approval on a whole range of things. For example, when he thought something was cool he would go, “Klimo!”; when he was intoxicated for the first time he went, “Klimo!”; when a girl turned him on he murmured, “Klimo…”; and so on and so forth.

Anyway, we paid $1500 for these amps from a gentleman in Chelsea who claimed to be the first owner. From what I could gather on the web they are made in Germany and retail for 4400 Euro. Each monoblock produces 35W. The amps sounded awesome hooked up to a pair of Avantgarde speakers (as a well-versed audiophile I should know). The tube complement per amp is 2x EL34 and 2x ECC83/12AX7. I have the four EL34 power tubes to go with them but unfortunately I mistakenly included the 12AX7 tubes in a sale a few months ago on Audiogon of a mix lot of tubes. Also please notice from the pictures that one of the amps is missing the K-logo.
