The ST-250 utilizes the IcePower ASC200 amplifer module. I find that this particular module sounds better and more transparent than the higher power modules used in the higher power ST series amplifiers. The input buffer circuit uses a special JFET circuit that is DC coupled with no series signal capacitors.
The unit is well broken in but has perhaps some 40-50 hours of playing time on it.
