Devialet 120 - Three Weeks Old with Transferable 5-Year Warranty

Outstanding integrated amp/dac in excellent condition. I bought this new from an authorized Devialet dealer on 27 July 2015 and received it on 14 August 2015. I have the invoice and I will supply a copy of it in .pdf format along with my invoice to the buyer. Both invoices are required by Devialet for warranty repair within the 5-year warranty period. When you set up your account with Devailet you will enter the serial number of this Devialet 120.

Why am I selling: I've ordered and received this week the Devialet 200 and will buy the Devialet 200 Companion so that I can run my Raidho C1.1 monitors in mono mode. The Devialet 120 can only run in stereo mode. Every review of the Devialet 120 concludes that it is a wonderful integrated amp/dac. And I agree with this assessment.

There is a extremely small 1/8" surface scratch, very light, in the upper left-hand side of the silver mirror top plate. Can't be seen in the pictures and can't be seen even when viewing the top plate up close except at a very critical angle from the opposite side looking into window light. And can't be felt. It must have been there when I purchased it. I mention it only because I've seen it: 99.99% of the time when I looked for it I didn't/couldn't see it - it is that small and is that difficult to see.

If using PayPal, add 3.5% to the purchase price including shipping and insurance if you reside in the USA, add 4.5% for international addresses. International buyers are responsible for paying any and all country to country fees including custom fees and must acknowledge same before the sale is finalized.

I will FedEx ship only to PayPal verified addresses at buyer's expense.

Final thoughts

This article will upset audiophiles who won’t want to believe that something as inexpensive as the Devialet 120 can be this good. I’m kind of upset myself -- I didn’t want to believe it. I’ve had Boulders, Halcros, and all sorts of great amps in my home over the years. The best of these brutes have been extremely good, and I’ve had some profoundly satisfying listening sessions with such products. Maybe I should have left well enough alone.

But the fact of the matter is that the Devialet 120 produced a quality of sound that I’d never before heard. Nor did I have to strain to hear it.

“Is Devialet really, really better than everything else?” I’ve definitively answered my own question -- at least, to my own satisfaction.

My advice: Don’t go near one of these things without being prepared to buy it. It’ll ruin you for anything else. For the folks at Devialet, that’s an extraordinary accomplishment.
