This pair of Nola Boxers is brand new in the box, comes with a 5 year manufacturers warranty, and offers your choice of either the piano cherry or black finish. The Nola (formally Alon) line of speakers have been held in high regard for a long time. The Nola Boxer has been included in Absolute Sound's "2013 Buyers Guide" (Issue 227) and also in Issue 211 the Boxer won an Editor's Choice Award. In Issue 209, the Boxer won "Entry Level Loudspeaker of the Year".
The Nola Boxer was very favorably reviewed by Positive Feedback Online in Issue 49, and in Absolute Sound's issue 203. They can be found on the Nola website. | How much you want for the stands? I am a dealer for Sound Anchor (the stand in the picture), and they make a really solid pre-filled stand that makes a tremendous difference in the foundation of the music. All of the Sound Anchor Stands are custom made for the speaker intended.
If you speak to Carl Marchisotto of Nola he will recommend a 26" stand for his Boxer speakers. In fact, when he first came out with his Micro Grand Reference speaker, he was pairing them with a Sound Anchor 4- Post stand. He ultimately designed his own stand.
The three post stands seen on my website (eastendhifi.com) that I use for my demo pair are amazingly good. You could get away with a 26" pre-filled single post stand also. The quality of the stands is very important for a monitor speaker. To get the true foundation of music, you must have solid support. The Sound Anchor stands are custom made for the Nola Boxers. The key is getting enough weight in the stand to hear the bottom end of monitor speakers. They weigh about 40 lbs each.

| How big can they sound?
I am looking for monitors to pair with a sub (so I don't want floor-standers), but they need to be able to fill a large room without straining or fizzing out ... .
What I have read about the character of the sound matches what I am looking for, but they need to be able to cary a movie also, mid-bass and up: understanding that the heavy lifting, and any grunting, will be handles by the sub. Well, my demo pair is in a room that's 16 x 24, opens up to other rooms on two sides, and they do fine there. I have sold most of the Nola Boxers based in in-house demonstrations. You only need 50+ watts to power them. Where do you live?
