Audio Research DS Pre Upgraded

I have a DS Pre for sale here which is both a 27 preamp and DAC 8 combined into one unit. We bought this new and used it in our family room for a high end 2 channel system. Is versatility is amazing. It has an enormous amount of power and is very flexible. I was driving MSB M202 MONO amps on their 6V input setting with ease.The DS Pre was slightly modified with 2 V-Cap top of the line oil caps in the same spec as the original parts and the main fuse was replaced with a Hi-Fi Tuning Supreme fuse of the same factory spec fuse, The Caps added a little more detail, micro dynamics and better imaging, the factory power supply is huge there was no need to increase the size the caps just refined it a bit more. The fuse (99%silver/1% Gold) added a little more on the macro dynamics.

We used this preamp with a cable box, an Oppo 105D, PS3, PS4 and a computer along with a FM tuner and Phono. It always worked perfectly with everything we hooked up from 44.1@16bit to 192@24 bit it just plays everything. It also worked flawlessly with our Logitech remote system and you can name all the inputs. All of this made a very complicated system very easy to use by everyone in the house. I have the original box, remote, all the original parts. I think the price is very conservative.
