MY PRICE: List price is $7,295. These are a demo pair and I'm providing a substantial and extremely rare discount! I'm selling this pair for $5,999.

CONDITION: These are like new speakers are in impeccable condition. They have only been used in my climate controlled, non-smoker studio. I have never removed the fabric grill assemblies so everything is factory tight. Save a huge amount over purchasing a new pair. You will not be able to tell the difference between this pair and a brand new pair.

(I do have new pairs in stock and can provide this speaker in any available finish but will have to charge the normal full retail price. FREE STANDS: I can include a wooden stand that I've built myself for no additional charge. I'm doing this as an incentive to help sell the HL5+ speakers in this ad. COMMERCIAL STANDS: I stock the Resonant Woods, linear style, solid ash wood, black finish stands for the HL5+ speakers. These stands list for $699 plus actual shipping cost. In my opinion, they are the best looking and best sounding commercial stands available anywhere. If you're interested, I can provide these stands but you will need to pay for these. I stock the HL5+ stands in the linear style in ash with a black finish. I can also custom order this same stand in any wood finish but custom orders will take at least 4-6 weeks. The free stands that I will provide (at your option) can tide you over (if you desire) while you place a custom order for the Resonant Woods stands. However, my stands are keepers and you might not want to spend the money for a commercial pair.

FACTORY WARRANTY: I'm an authorized Harbeth dealer and these demo speakers will include a full "new" factory warranty and you will be the first official owner once you purchase these speakers from me. I will provide an invoice on my letterhead that will document your factory new purchase.

SHIPPING: I will ship these speakers in their original two separate factory boxes and package each factory box in a 2nd outer and fully padded shipping box to help assure shipping success. I will pay FedEx ground shipping cost.

MY OPINION ABOUT THE VARIOUS HARBETH FINISHES:

In my opinion, the Tiger Ebony veneer finish looks better than any of the others and is worth the extra yet reasonable cost. Even the guys at Fidelis, our North American Harbeth distributor, will tell you the same - the Tiger Ebony finish looks fantastic!

Cherry is good if you want the lowest price but it looks very ordinary. Rosewood could be good because of the nice expressive grain but Harbeth’s rosewood is way too red. Because of this, the really red looking veneer doesn’t look good with most interiors and tends to stand out too much visually. Eucalyptus looks like unfinished wood and is quite “washed out” in appearance but is good for Scandanavian minimalist interiors. The Tiger Ebony is dark from a distance and when close, the black and brown narrow ebony striping is absolutely beautiful – very subtle and beautifully elegant. It goes with ANY interior décor from ultra contemporary to the most traditional theme.

SUPER HL5 plus DESCRIPTION:

Without a doubt, the Harbeth Super HL5 plus is my absolute favorite speaker especially when it’s paired with a Vinnie Rossi LIO system. This is what I use in my own personal reference audio system and what I recommend for 99.8% of all audiophile users. You simply cannot go wrong making this purchase and even at it’s fairly high price, it’s an incredible bargain compared to anything else available in the industry. The sound quality is magical and extremely emotionally satisfying.

Harbeth's Super HL5 plus produces breathtaking transparency, a huge soundstage and total immersion in the performance. This speaker creates a rich bass and sweet midrange that brings acoustic music alive. The midrange is to “die for” and the details float so well to the surface that you can hear deep into your music and pick out inflections that most speakers just cannot reproduce.

These are one of the most enjoyable speaker systems that you could ever listen to and owning them makes you want to listen to music all the time without ever getting listening fatigue.

This is the latest generation of Dudley Harwood's original HL-Monitor: the cabinet is still engineered in the BBC tradition of removable 'thin-wall' panels for a totally true-to-life sound.

Retaining the classic 'two cubic foot' proportions found in the very best BBC monitors, the HL5plus relies on the exclusive Harbeth-made 200mm RADIAL2™ bass/mid driver. This produces a big, warm and powerful sound that underpins the incredible midband clarity. The bass this speaker system puts out is very visceral and you feel it within your body’s organs. There is no need for a subwoofer (in fact it is discouraged) since there is plenty of beautiful, musical, and tight bass.

The 25mm main tweeter is augmented by a 20mm SuperTweeter for an extended and even dispersion to the upper edge of the audio band. This combination allows for subtle details to emerge that are covered over by most other speaker systems. This is the only speaker design in the Harbeth line that has a SuperTweeter installed.
