Stray vibrations cause the sound of audio gear to become closed in, grainy, indistinct, edgy, hard, sibilant, blurred and un-involving. The sound stage is dramatically reduced and subtle reverberant detail is masked.In the case of video systems, the picture loses focus, color purity degrades and grain increases. The Seismic Sink platform prevents vibrations in the supporting surface from reaching the equipment, and any residual air borne vibration is absorbed in the constrained layer damped surface.
