Set of 3 Isolation Feet. This listing is for 2 sets of 3 feet.

This auction is for 2 sets of 3 feet. You only need 3 feet per component.

Unused Isolation Feet from the Matthew James' Cello company. These isolation feet are stamped Matthew James, and were purchased by my club members as unassembled kits - cups and special hardened brand new bearings (tungsten?) - from the Matthew James' warehouse when my audio club went to visit. We assembled the bearings ourselves and I know them to be unused, as these are from the ones I purchased, and we had to wait for the hardened bearings to be ordered.

I purchased way too many sets, and they are sitting in a drawer. (I use 4 sets under my Audio Research preamps and DACs), so am now finally selling off my excess sets of 3.

They have some marks on the top side of the cups. We were told that they were 'new', however please consider them refurbished.

These were footers for Cello Rhapsody preamps and other Cello products.

Cello was the line of very high end products Mark Levinson made after he sold the Levinson company. The Cello assets and brand were purchased by Matthew James, LLC and all subsequent Cello products were made and sold by Matthew James.

These isolation feet were used on Cello products. There is a discussion of the Cello Rhapsody on the internet, and the quote from that is: "The Rhapsody includes specially designed feet, which utilize hardened ball bearings and a proprietary coating process, to isolate the amplifier from the subtle, unwanted resonances that can affect sound reproduction. " These are the feet mentioned.

Please search on 'Aurios Media Isolation Bearings' or 'Aurios MIB' on the internet. One of my club members recalls being told that they are copies of the Aurios feet, made by Matthew James. Matthew James had a machine shop in house and made these copies themselves for the Cello units. These look identical to the Aurios, while the Matthew James feet could only be purchased with their products. (The Cello Rhapsody was a $17,000 amplifier!)

The Aurios were $300 for a set of 3 in the year 2000. There are many reviews of this product. (The Pro version is the one with the Tungsten balls). There were other brands that had a similar product, and they too were $100+ per foot.

There are reviews of the Aurios on the Audiogon forums, as well as at other locations on the internet, including positive-feedback
