Trims the Edges of Your Discs; to Improve Sound and Picture Quality

The Audio Desk Systeme is a unique motorized cutting device manufactured in Germany. Designed to true the shape of the CD to reduce mechanical jitter, the ADS trims the edge of the CD to a 38 degree angle and then you treat that edge with the included black marker. Takes about 60 seconds to do per CD.

This: 1) Balances the CD, and 2) Reduces laser scatter. This process results in pronounced improvements in focus, transient attack, detail and transparency.

I have not used it on DVDs/BluRays, but saw some reviews that state it helps them too.
I’ve seen it listed for $999 new.  I bought it about 7 years ago for $800.  I’ve probably cut about 1000 CDs with it.

I bought a brand-new, never used, cutting blade for $99, because the current blade was getting a bit dull.  I think it still has life left in it, as the manufacturer says a blade is good for cutting 2000 CDs.  The original blade is currently installed; you’ll have to install and align the new blade, which looks fairly simple to do.  Also includes a never-used spare belt. The belt is the only breakable part.  Whichever blade you use, I recommend you start cutting on burned back-up disks.

The unit has a purely a cosmetic defect.  One of the particle-board pieces of the top safety cover broke off; I glued it back on. I rated the condition 7/10 because of this.  In terms of functionality, I rate it 10/10, because it has a never-used blade and never-used spare belt. The motor is powerful and spins the CDs just as fast now as when I first bought this.

I don’t have the original box, but will pack it well.  You get to pay shipping & insurance.

You can Google it and find lots of great reviews about it. Here is one below.
"This is a ’must have’ product for anyone really interested in maximizing the potential of their CD/SACD collection. The price is reasonable and the construction and presentation of the product is outstanding. The results are simply quite staggering!"
