Absolutely gorgeous shop cut, 1.8mm thick MexicanCocobolo veneer covers a true Constrained Layer Damped plinth design. Cocobolo is one of the most amazing woods on the planet. It consistently turns heads whenever it is used. Cocobolo of this quality is becoming unobtanium right now. This came from a billet that was intended for building guitars. The polish on this plinth is spectacular! This is a single tonearm design, using the chassis mount armboard. One armboard is included with this plinth, constructed of Basswood/ Panzerholz/ Basswood sandwich, veneered in Cocobolo. Shown in the photo is a an armboard of this construction, but decoupled.
