WOODSONG AUDIO LINN SONDEK LP12 WENGE PLINTH

Woodsong Audio has been making top quality plinths for the Linn Sondek LP12 for the past 9 years,  to date, almost 1300 plinths made and sold!  

 Many, many owners,  and dealers alike will testify as to the level of quality, and also to the potential sonic upgrade that can be found in a Woodsong LP12 plinth.   One of the most skilled and well known LP12 technicians in the USA, Thomas Okeefe of Overture Audio,  stated that at the very least, any Woodsong plinth represented "at least a slight sonic upgrade from a stock Linn plinth".  With some species of wood,  very significant sonic improvements have been experienced. 

 All Woodsong LP12 plinths are made from solid wood,  with a very few individual exceptions where engineered combinations of solid wood have been used,  such as in the Snakewood/ Ebony LP12 plinth seen in one of the above photos.   

 Woodsong LP12 plinths are made to a very tight set of tolerances,  and are guaranteed to fit your LP12,  and to install easily.  All machining to accept every Linn part, have been made.  This will install exactly as a factory Linn plinth,  but likely a little easier to get a solid top plate fit, which is essential for maximum performance from your LP12.  

 Woodsong LP12 plinths are made from extremely well seasoned wood to ensure long term stability, which again,  is critical to assuring maximum performance from your LP12.    Recently, 2 Woodsong plinths owned by a client in Hong Kong received in home servicing by the renowned Peter Swain of Cymbiosis in the UK.  After 5 years in humid Hong Kong,  both the Ebony plinth,  and the Curly Maple plinth are still dead flat when checked on flat surface.

  This listing is for a Wenge LP12 plinth,  one of my favorites!      It will be finished to order, as I have about 6 of them in construction right now.   The 'black' grain in Wenge polishes, literally, almost to the level of window glass,  not quite to optical glass.  It is stunning.   As well,  Wenge is an excellent wood for an LP12 plinth,  one of my favorites.   These are ready for shipping in early January 2015.
