Upgraded VPI Scout with JMW 10.5i and Ginko cover:
Selling my personal VPI Scout, the fantastic turntable shown. Turntable was significantly upgraded with the JMW Memorial 10.5i Tonearm and the HRX/Scoutmaster 2" platter and inverted bearing.  This is the perfect table for someone who wants more than the stock Scout.
The JMW 10.5i arm has the VTA on-the-fly tower, that you don’t get on any table below the $4,000 Classic 2 in the current line.  It is a much better arm than the JMW 9T on the current $2,500 Scout 2 or $3,000 Classic 1, and it is 10" instead of 9".  Less tracking error than a 9", but easier to set up than a 12" arm.  It is wired internally with Nordost Valhalla wiring from the cartridge pins all the way through to the cable junction box, with an additional 2.5 grams effective mass for greater cartridge compatibility (including lighter, low compliance cartridges), variable pivot fluid damping, and mechanical anti-skate control.
The combination is more like the Classic 2, with a Scout plinth and 2" acrylic platter instead of the aluminum platter.  You can always buy the aluminum platter if you want one at some point down the line.
Along with the standard accessories are an extra belt (unused, $30 list), the alignment jig specific to the 10.5i, headshell weight ($15), manual.  Also comes with the clear acrylic cover as shown in the photos.  This is the Ginko cover ($300 retail), modified to fit over the 10.5i, which mounts slightly to the right of the JMW9.  The modifications were done by me, so are not perfect, but not all that noticeable (mosly at the rear right corner), and it gets the job done.  The cover will probably have to be shipped separately, so adds to the shipping cost.  Conservatively graded, except for the cover.
Also includes the Soundsmith Counterintuitive ($50 list) for easy and precise independent adjustment of tracking force and azimuth.
The arm wand of the JMW-10.5i can be removed and replaced in seconds, allowing instant cartridge changes with multiple armwands.
I am also selling my second 10.5i arm wand, the HRX feet, solid copper platter ring by TT Weights, AND EAR MC3 step-up transformer, and Koetsu Black cartridge in separate listings.
If you might ever play 78s, I will throw in the three-speed 45/33/78 pulley for an extra $40 ($80 list) – and ask me about the Grado 78C cartrudge.
The cartridge shown is NOT INCLUDED.
I will only sell to the lower 48 states. No International, Hawaiian or Alaskan sales.  No Extra Charges for PayPal
