For serious analog lovers this table represents the pinnacle of design, performance, and flexibility. My wife actually loves its "industrial artsy" appearance, and everyone who sees it spends time gawking! The HRX has been a Stereophile Class A turn table since it was introduced. There are now countless reviews available describing its silence, slam, range, and overall performance. It is one of the great tables in the world today.

This unit though, is really special because it has two tone arms. The primary arm is VPI's new 3D printer arm which has received rave reviews for its performance, even with low end cartridges. It is a 12" arm - I used it for all stereo recordings with a Lyra Atlas cartridge.

The second arm is the latest version of VPI's traditional, and very excellent metal tone arm - the 12.7, also a Class A tone arm. I used it for monaural recordings; it was set up with a Miyajima Zero mono cartridge, anti-skating disabled per Robin Wyatt for true mono cartridges tracking at 4gms or so.

The origin of this table is rooted in a visit I paid to the VPI factory in New Jersey where Harry and Matt Weisfeld spent most of the day with me, including significant time in Harry's listening room where I heard this table set up with a Lyra Atlas. I also heard some of Harry's personal collection of 15 ips master tapes! Holy Cylinders what a sound!

A brand new HR X today, with one standard 12.7 tone arm will run you $15,000. With the 3D printed tone arm added as the primary arm, this cost new is about $18,000 with both arms.

I have greatly enjoyed this table for just over one year. Unfortunately my medical condition is such that the time has come for me to downsize in several areas of my life, and this is one of them. My asking price is a good deal of money, no doubt, but much less than new - and represents an investment that will last a lifetime while bringing you much joy.

The HRX comes with the HRX center record weight, outer ring clamp, and SDS Controller included.

If you have a monaural collection as well as stereo, this is a wonderfully fun unit to have. I will happily answer any questions. Please note that shipping will be somewhat complicated, as at least two, maybe three, boxes will be involved. I WILL PAY SHIPPING IF YOU PAY MY ASKING PRICE, and I will include a Fozgometer at no extra charge to help you set azimuth when you set up your cartridge. I will accept PayPal at price + 3%.

Please note that if you also buy the Lyra Atlas I will give a bundled price of $16,500.
