New RIM Drive platter bearing design!

The Superb 42.5 Lb (20Kg) Platter featuring 42 Lbs of Pure Copper 1.3 Inch Thickness Main Platter with a removable Record Mat included - 1/8 Kevlar layer topped with a .025 Carbon Fibre record interface all new design. The platter is wrapped with the Delrin Drive wheel damping the platter and drive systems.    

This platter now employs the Carbide Bearing system 1.5 deep x .500 bearing shaft in 3.5 inch brass bearing well. The platter rotates on a pure .3125 diameter carbide ball.

Originally introduced in 2008 at the RMAF Show we are proud to introduce the GEM Supreme, the newest incarnation of our best selling RIM Drive Turntable.
The table has many improvements from the new plinth to improved electronics and rim drive systems bringing the ultra silent explosively dynamic tonally correct turntable.
Why Rim Drive? The modern idler drive and we know everyone likes the old vintage tables such as the Garrard and Lenco designs.
This is the modern version of the 1950 and 1960's incredible designs that provided turntables tables with drive and constant pitch!
Our direct DC servo controlled rim drive tables offer unparalleled pace, rhythm and time (PRAT) and the most intense dynamics possible.
We employ 4 and 5 axis CNC machines equipped with glass scales that have cutting resolution to +/-.00005 of an inch.
The GEM Turntable is a complete package
