This TD 226 seems like never been used by looking and examining the electronic parts and an obvious reason that both of Mahogany arm boards are never been drilled.
However, the electrolytic caps are updated and calibrated.
Also a new and never been installed original dust cover included.
The indicator lights, although they’re all fully lit, had been replaced with LED as the original incandescent won’t last long in my experience with most TD126
Cosmetic is almost mint other than a nick in the back where the RCA connector box installed.
This box was damaged during transport and nicked the plinth. In this case it is only a blank box since this unit did not come with any arm.
I can provide you with a complete U-spool and arm lift mechanism for tonearm automation for TP-16 mk3 arm. Also with some trick, you can use the automation for SME 3009 or 3012 family.
Please be aware that TD-226 is much heavier than the TD-126.
Note on unreliable TD 126 mk3 is somewhat true for the unit with serial # less than 47-276
Unit with serial # 47 276 and above had then been updated which the TD226 share the schematic with.
