For your consideration today, an early SOTA Satellite turntable, rare Magnepan Unitrac tonearm and Nagaoka MP150 cartridge. Note the speckled 'moon rock' finish. Everything about this table
screams the word 'space.' From the sound it produces to its look as
well.

The table is a vintage model from the mid-late 80s though you would not
be able to tell from looking at the mint dustcover and finish. The arm
has some wear on the rubber but comes with the original
box/cabling/accessories. The arm should need no introduction. The
cartridge is at most two years old, I am the second owner and it has
<200hrs on it in total. The Nag is a perfect match for the Maggie
with regards to cartridge resonance.

This is a good starting point into the hobby for someone who won't settle for a 'beginner' turntable and who feels confident enough to jump right into the deep end with a unipivot tonearm. I will gladly talk a buyer through
proper setup and handling of the table & arm, unipivots just take a hair more patience and care to handle but the resulting sound is well worth it. Don't hesitate to send me any
questions you may have.

Sound is a mixture of the strong bass SOTA tables are known for
with the additional spaciousness/smoothness a Unitrac arm provides with a
topping of Nagaoka's dynamic velvety sound. I hesitate to call the
sound warm, but it does have a nice weight and smooth tone. It's not your stereotypical 'vinyl sound' and it plays nice with all of my records; a majority of which were produced in the last decade.

I will also include an autographed copy of John Kirkpatrick's Blue Balloon. Blue Balloon is from the same era as the arm & table, and perfectly shows off the table's strong points. If you are local and wish to pick up the table not only will you avoid the cost of shipping, but I will include another record of your choice from my collection.

The arm will be shipped in it's original box with all included paperwork & accessories and the
platter/dust cover will be removed from the table prior to shipping. I
will also obtain a shipping box from SOTA to assure the table's safety
during shipping. Shipping,
including the cost of the SOTA box, will be on the buyer.

I am not able to compare this table to any modern offerings, I have been very
happy with it and not tried anything else since acquiring it a few years back.
