J.C. Verdier La Platine Verdier Granito

Original, very rare Granito version of J.C. Verdier La Platine Turntable.
It has Granito plinth, made of granite particles, mixed with epoxy. Verdier had stopped making Granito plinths long time ago due to the very high cost of manufacture, and since then, they are made from MDF.
Plinth is coated with hand- made high grade shellac for extra protection from humidity, etc.
It is in excellent condition, with no blemishes of any kind.
This table has undergone numerous modifications:
Callas Audio motor bushings to minimize vibrations
Motor control unit is converted to DC with battery power supply (easily convertible back to AC)
Motor cover is custom powder coated in beautiful red high- gloss metallic finish and the black metal parts are coated with hand- made high grade shellac for extra protection.

Neuron Technology Limited DC-DC Step Up/ Down converter- it allows for very stable 12 VDC output to feed the motor, therefore facilitating speed stability)
Original fine speed adjustments on the motor remain functioning
Custom Copper Arm Pod
Custom Gabon Ebony Arm board (drilled for custom- mount Graham Phantom II Supreme tonearm)
New upgraded suspension springs to accommodate heavier arm pod
Original aluminum Arm pod and aluminum arm board
Upgraded Arm pod mounting hardware.
Two spare bottles of original Verdier spindle oil (I purchased directly from Verdier in France).
Optional ball bearing, should you wish to use it on the spindle ( Verdier himself didn't recommend it).
Original magnets are very strong.
It is absolutely plug-and-play and sounds outstanding.
I doubt you can find another original Granito La Platine in this condition and all the mods very easily.

Turntable spindle is in perfect condition ( due to magnetically suspended platter, it's not a subject to any friction).
The price is for the turntable only, and includes all of the above listed accessories.
tonearm and cartridge are NOT included.
I will list Lyra Kleos for sale in a separate listing. It has probably under 40 hrs, purchased knew from an authorized dealer less, than a year ago.
For interested party i would consider selling as a package ( Turntable, 10" Graham Phantom II Supreme tonearm and Lyra Kleos cartridge). This combination is highly recommended and is VERY hard to beat.
It will be very well packed for shipment, but local pick- up in Philadelphia area is encouraged.
