Pioneer Classic Silver Series TX-9800 Analog Tuner

For Sale, is my beautiful classic Silver Series Pioneer TX-9800 Analog Tuner. The virtues are many for this legendary Pioneer TX-9800 Tuner. The TX-9800 is considered by many audio reviewers to be the finest analog tuner that Pioneer ever manufactured, period. The previous owner of this classic and well preserved tuner, was Chuck Rippel of Audio Video Service Labs (see..fmtunerinfo dot com). This was Mr. Rippel’s personal TX-9800 tuner for many years which was meticulously cared for, and was fully checked for alignment and any adjustments on the Sound Technology 1000A suite instruments. The "Touch Sensor FM Tuning Lock System" which features a complex crystal referenced oscillator sets it apart from other Pioneer tuners is spot on and works perfectly. Listening to a quality FM Jazz & Classical broadcast signal produces music that is smooth, rich and dynamic; it is an enjoyable experience to savor if you are a FM enthusiast that enjoys listening to Classical or Jazz broadcasts. Overall, this tuner is in excellent condition considering it’s age and, the front faceplate and glass are in flawless condition. All lights and switches work and are quiet, and tuning dial action is incredibly smooth and all switches & controls were treated with Deoxit. A previous owner’s DL number inscribed on back panel and the wood side panels show normal wear for the age. The TX-9800 tuner is factory stock, with no modifications to the circuitry. This TX-9800 is as close to mint as one would be able to find for its age and has been extremely well cared for in a smoke and pet free environment and is conservatively rated at 8/10 for age. Included is the original owner’s manual. The serial number of this unit is S/N# 82774.
