Western Electric 300B matched pair #2

Matched pair of WE 300B tubes with less than 100 hours. Serial numbers are 201442 and 201464. (See photos.)
NOTE: The glass envelope of 201442 separated from the base of its tube, and epoxy was used to reattach it. See photos that show this clearly. The tube was tested in 1998 and found to have no problems compared to 201464. However, it is important that any prospective buyer be aware of this cosmetic defect. I am happy to answer any questions to the best of my (limited) ability, and I am offering a return privilege as described below. Condition is honest as "9-but..." for these reasons. Because of the condition of 201442, the reserve for this pair of tubes is set a fair bit lower than that of the other pair I'm selling.
These tubes were used briefly in a VAC 30/30 (yes, even after 201442 separated) and then boxed in 1998, where they have sat happily ever since. They have all original materials, including wooden box, felt-lined individual tube boxes, and all paperwork — WE testing report, "owner's manual," and blank registration card. (I assume the registration card is worth nothing beyond the coolness factor.)
IMPORTANT: Except as described above, I assume the tubes are in near-new condition, as they were when I stored them 17 years ago. The photographs were taken on 2/28/2015, so you can see that they're physically gorgeous. However, I do not have access to a tube tester, and I am not offering a "tryout" period so a buyer can tube-swap on my dime. Therefore, if anything is wrong with the tubes, I will accept a return under these conditions:
1. You provide documentation of problems with the measurements of either or both tubes. There must be actual problems with the tubes — I will not take returns because of incompatibility with your equipment (insert joke here) or your preferences in reproduction (um, that's MUSIC reproduction).
2. You notify me within 72 hours of delivery that you will return them. After 72 hours I offer no guarantees and I will not honor returns. Please be sure you have access to any equipment you need to determine whether they meet your expectations — "My tube guy was diving in Cayman when I got 'em" is no good.
3. Once you've notified me, you assume responsibility for return shipping and insurance for actual purchase price via USPS, UPS, or Fedex, and you send the return within 48 hours of notifying me that you intend to do so.
4. If they are defective and you elect to return them, I will refund your entire purchase price once I have received the tubes in the same condition in which they were sent to you.
I don't mean to be impossible here, but I know how picky audiophiles can be (even the guys with 300B amps), and the more we set terms up front the less likely we are to disagree. No, I'm not an attorney, so buy with confidence!
