SuperTNT metal plate 845-W. This was SuperTNT's third generation metal plate and the ONLY metal plate with a dissipation over 100w. This tube is a drop in replacement for a 845 tube.
The 845-W had a very limited production run of less than 400 pairs. Production was ceased duea supply shortage of certain metal for the anode production. SuperTNT later went out of business.
These tubes are one the best sounding 845 money can buy. Only my late 1950 United tubes better them but only marginally. I prefer the metal plate over my RCA, Centrons, Psvanes (including the WE replicas) and all other Chinese sourced tubes.
This is a unique opportunity to purchase a gently used matched pair with an extra tube as a back up!!!! Since these tubes are extremely rare and don't come on the market very often, it is a real bonus to have a back up tube in the unlikely event of a tube failure, or you do what I did and dropped one.
May entertain interesting audio trades (no cables or tubes)
