Emission Labs 45 Globes - THE BEST 45 TUBE EVER !!!

This is a pair of Emission Labs 45 Globe tubes. I think that these are the best sounding, rarest 45 tubes in the world. These were made in two runs in the past and will never be made again. These come up very rarely on the market, as most people will not part with them. I am decommissioning my 45 based systems, so I need to pass these on to someone who can enjoy and appreciate them.

I personally think they are the best I have heard, having tried numerous NOS 45 ST and globes, plus various Chinese variants, and the EML mesh and solid plate ST tubes. The EML solid plate 45’s was my favorites until I got the globes. The difference is not huge, but I can hear better detail, air and ease in them. This pair has only about 500 hours on them, as I have been saving them by using the EML solid plates most of the time. They test better than new; showing 2,500 and 2,450 where 1,800 is new / nominal on my Hickok 539A tester. I have the original box and certificates for them.

If you are at all familiar with these tubes, you know that the structure is free inside the glass, with no support from the side of the glass. This makes them fragile. The pair I bought had one broken when they arrived, and it was replaced right away. Apparently the second run still had a problem with shipping damage. Because of this problem and that they are very hard to make, EML will not make them again.

These tubes were sold in a previous ad, but the buyer failed to pay. I had said I would not ship these, and they would need to be picked up in person. I think I have devised a packaging method that will protect them. It is a triple box using bubble wrap and foam pellets. If you want a detailed description, let me know. Even with this super packing, I can’t guarantee they will arrive in perfect condition. I would still prefer a local pick up, but I will ship these, but other than insuring the package (which is no guarantee of being successful with a claim), the buyer takes the risk of damage. Although their may be overseas buyer will to purchase these, I am limited shipping to the CONUS for now, to increase the chances of successful shipping.
