Wyetech Labs Opal Line Stage

This is your chance to own the legendary Wyetech Opal linestage for less than Private Party BlueBook ($4600). These units are almost never up for sale on Audiogon, and certainly not in this condition. From the pictures you can see that this one is in mint condition, both inside & out. It has been upgraded with 4 top-of-the-line Solen FEP Supersound Teflon capacitors supplied by the Opal's designer and carefully installed by Soundsmith in upstate NY. It comes complete with 2 rare NOS Russian 6sn7's, and 2 NOS Sylvania VT-231 Bad Boys, both with Herbie's Tube Dampers. This linestage performs flawlessly and looks brand new, nary a mark on it, but I have rated it 8/10 for age.

This would of course make a phenomenal partner to the Topaz 211 amp for sale elsewhere here on Audiogon. It presents an incredibly wide and deep sound-stage with the blackest background I have ever heard from a tube pre. The dynamism, detail retrieval and tonal accuracy are second to none. It is also the most sturdily constructed piece of audio equipment I have ever seen - you can tell from the pictures that this thing is built to last many lifetimes, down to the gold-plated name plate and massive knobs.
