VTL Manley Reference 350 Tube Monoblocks (need service) w/ $600 RESERVE

We’re Stereo Exchange, located in New York City. We've been in business since the 1970s and are a major high-end dealer. We have all the current top brands on display in our huge showroom.

This sale is for a pair of MANLEY by VTL Reference 350 Tube Monoblocks.

Every once in a while we get emails asking if we ever “get these in” on trade, and I always say that I have never seen one. Apparently they have a real following among VTL and Manley fans.

Many consider this to the best amp ever to come out the company, and that says a lot.

Well, here they are!

They are quite dirty (they were in storage), but I cleaned up ONE of them A BIT so you can see the condition of the chassis.

These two amplifiers are on consignment from the estate of a hard-core audiophile.

I did try bringing ONE of them “up on a Variac” and it drew current and I smelled a resistor burning, so it was immediately unplugged and not further testing was done. Please assume that they both need service. If the other one works, that will be a bonus.

It’s worth it. These are one of the best tube amplifiers you can find.

I know little about them, other than what I have read online.

Apparently there were several versions of these, some with MODE switches on the front, some with “special” capacitors. Because of that I have included a photo of the inside of one of the amps, since I can tell you essentially nothing about them!

We have no idea how many hours are on the tubes.

These sold for, when new, from what we understand, about $6000 a pair.

We are setting the RESERVE for this pair, in their present state of needing repair, at only $600.00.

They will be packed with the great care they deserve.
