Valve Amplification Company VAC Renaissance Mark 3 preamp tube - silver

Offered for sale is my VAC Renaissance Mark 3 preamp in perfect 9/10 condition. I bought it new from an authorized VAC dealer and have used it for just about two years without any issues at all.  Please note that this unit does not have the phono option.

This is truly a superb, very refined preamp and is VAC’s current entry level model.  Said to be world-class by many who know all the best tube electronics.  Personally, I cannot recommend it highly enough.  This preamp does a great deal for the sound, shaping it, making it more natural, more 3-D and free of hash and edge.  I had a very high class solid state preamp before this and swapping the VAC Ren Mk3 in its place improved the sound hugely.  Some people who know both this unit and the next model up in VAC’s line-up say that they are not so far apart in performance level.  

As you can see I am offering this Renaissance Mk3 unit for sale in 9/10 condition at a very solid discount off retail (please note that VAC’s retail prices for this unit have increased recently).  I am selling because I do not need as much power for my speakers as my current VAC separates provide.  I am switching to VAC’s very high quality lower output integrated amp with phono-stage for this reason and also to simplify my set-up.  I am also selling my Phi 300.1a stereo amp which puts out 150 wpc, so if you have any interest in that please let me know.  A listing for that is also on Audiogon. 

You would get VAC’s excellent volume/mute remote control, original and some spare VAC tubes, box, manual, paperwork etc.
