Anyone knowing Melos audio is sure to also know or know about Mark Porzilli --designer of all Melos equipment. Mark upgraded this excellent looking 333 preamp back in 2012 for me with some of his latest new concepts. I rated it a 7 due to age but this is a very nice looking two piece preamp in silver. The size of the shipping box and weight is only a estimate so please ask. The work done is listed below and amazing.
Mark is starting up the the Melos business again--upgrades for Melos equipment- but will be starting with the power amps. The preamp upgrades will be coming later but will incorporate my design. Please ask any questions since it's hard to add it all here. I would really like to sell this local to 17202 so I can show and demo the preamp but I can ship if needed. Shipping will involve two boxes inside a large box and weigh around 50 lbs. I would also be willing to meet someone up to 100 miles from my location but cash only. PayPal can be used but only if the 3% fee is added. This is a Melos lover delight to own. Since I am now using one of his MP units I can run direct into my amp and can free up the preamp. Thanks for looking and read Mark's comments below on what he did on my unit. (possible trades considered)

You'll see 4 tubes sideways on the back. They are the triode capacitance amplifiers. I think it's the first time
it's ever been done with tubes and it was the cleanest tube power I have ever seen. I think it nearly negated
the coloration of the big caps used in the power supplies.

To avoid the coloration and to virtualize the characteristics of a Teflon/Polystyrene as a cap 1000x it's size,
I designed a small triode amplifier which has a small polystyrene capacitor on it's input. The amplifier has gain,
and amplifies the characteristics of a giant Teflon or styrene. And this device doubles as the regulation of the
power so instead of a solid state regulator chip through which ALL of the power passes (and is colored by it),
we have an all triode tube regulation so that 'acrylic' color from the old regulators is gone and you have what
may be the closest thing to a near 'perfect capacitor' that does not exist yet. But In your case, you have a
Triode Capacitance Virtualizer and Voltage Regulator.

The tube compliment for the new 333 upgrade is 4-12AU7s and 4-6DJ8s or their equivalents.

I added a power supply to power the new tubes heaters and then I bolted 4 new heatsinks to the originals.

Questions for the seller
Very interesting! I have Melos amps and would like to contact Mark Porzilli. Can you please share his contact info with me? Thanks!
Hello Shane, if your interested or have any questions on the preamp he said people can contact him other than that, I am not sure if he is ready for people to contact him yet on the amps etc. Send me a note direct and I can get back with his information. [filtered]
