WOW - here is a gorgeous and very rare McIntosh MC2000 Anniv. Edition tube amp to die for - as beautiful to hear as it is to behold. This amp is a one owner (Doctor) awesome condition unit which we lovingly picked up by hand so it has never been shipped and it comes packed with all the original (and quite large) original massive two factory boxes - one for the chassis and one for the tubes).

The MC2000 was designed by Sidney Corderman, McIntosh co-founder and designer of the legendary MC275. Sidney was coaxed out of retirement to commemorate the firm's 50th anniversary with this design. . The amplifier received rave reviews upon release, was named Stereophile magazines component of the year 2000, and remains an object of desire amongst audiophiles.

The amp is a dual-mono design on a single chassis; gold-plated RCA/XLR inputs and 200-amp binding posts; patented Unity Coupled Circuit with bifilar-wound output transformers; eight KT88s (or 6550s) with ceramic tube sockets, gold contacts, and Air-Pipe cooling; twin regulated DC heater supplies on the input tubes; glass front panel; stainless-steel Titanium Gold Super Mirror gold-plated finish; and big blue illuminated power meters!

A-weighted hum & noise: 100dB below rated output. Damping factor: greater than 18. Input impedance: 20k ohms single-ended, 40k ohms balanced. Input sensitivity (switchable): 2.5V for rated output, 1.2V for rated output (1V for 100W output).
