Manley Laboratories Mahi Tube Monoblocks - Beautiful, Free Shipping!

For your consideration: a beautiful pair of Manley Labs "Mahi" mono-block amplifiers. I am only selling these lovely amps because I want to try a low-powered SET amp in my system and must sell the Mahi's to fund that purchase.

The Manley Labs Mahi's output 40 watts per channel into 8 ohms in their "Ultralinear" mode which gives you gobs of power to drive any moderately efficient speaker. They can also be switched (via a toggle switch on the top of the amps) to their "Triode" mode, which outputs 20 watts and gives you that sweet, triode midrange. With my 92 db efficient speakers I have run the Mahi's almost exclusively in Triode mode and they have provided all the volume I could ever want at around "8 o'clock" on the volume knob. :-) These are gutsy little amplifiers.

Another interesting feature of the Mahi's is their variable feedback setting. The three levels of internal feedback (switchable on the fly) can be used to tailor the sound to your liking in a way that's hard to describe but very obvious when you hear it: more "immediate" with minimum feedback, more "distant" or "mid-hall" with greater feedback.

Manley is also known for their superb Pro Audio gear and that heritage shows in their home gear as well: these amps are built like the proverbial tank.
