The highlight of the S designation is equipped with the Triode Lab's .38 Output Transformers, which is specific for 2A3/300B triode tubes, a cross engineered product by James Transformer. Which result a silkier highs, extended treble and a spacious lay-back sound-stage with high resolution. The oversized output transformers also allowed some good action in bass response. Last but not least, other than providing the best Class A 8 Watts, this is one of the quietest 300B amp on the planet (kudos to the high quality power transformer and choke made by James), we know because we have seen/heard/serviced a lot of triode amps around the world. To keep it short if you are looking for a high end 300B integrate without breaking the bank, this is it. This is designed, made and completed right here in Canada.
