Modern Tube Preamp. Highest quality sound and asthetics. Just finished using the finest parts available to include:
1. Sheilded toroidal tranformer.
2. Custom made power supplies to include a user adjustable filament voltage supply.
3. Super low noise signal resistors (Vishay Z-foils).
4. Deuland Cast PIO coupling caps.
5. Custom made ladder style attenuators using Elma switches and very low noise resistors.
6. Elma selector switch.
7. Audio Note heavy gold plated solid brass knobs.
8. Engraved backside brass plate and Cardas GRFA RCAs. Six inputs (one AUX 3.5 mm on the front) and two outputs.
9. Silver coated OFC wire on signal runs.
10. New gold plated tube sockets and five (5 ea.) New in the Box (one spare) Mullard ECC40 rimlock tubes.
Purest design, no remote function. True audiophile unit.
For those of you for whom the above is incomprehensible, just know this preamp is as good as it gets at any price, and at this price it’s a steal. Just finished a batch of these for a buyer who backed out at the last minute and am now just trying to recoup costs. Price also reflects that this is my first time selling on Audiogon and I understand buyers may be wary. Using Audiogon now as their listing costs are much more reasonable than other auction sites, where I have an unblemished record. The price barely covers the cost of the parts and it includes shipping. Money back if not 100% satisfied (provided it is returned in the exact same condition it was sent with all the same parts inside when sent, so no scammers please). If returned, buyer is responsible to return ship via USPS at buyer’s cost.
Unit is 13 inches deep, 16 inches wide and 3 inches tall without tubes. Add three more inches to height for tubes.

| I see from the photo there is an input marked "phono." Is this a phono stage input or does it require an external phono stage? Thank You for your question. It is not a phono stage, only an input for one, so it would require a separate phono stage. For additional charges a custom made Phono Pre can be provided in a matching mahogany case that will accept MM cartridges, and for MC cartridge usage vintage step-up trannys can be provided (Altecs, UTCs, Bogens, Dukanes, McGohans, and others) again, in a custom made matching case. |

I should be selling this preamp for double to triple what it is being listed for here. I would probably be generating much more interest had I listed it for its actual value of up to $5K. I'm trying to stick to the sale of this preamp. A system built by me consisting of step ups, a phono pre, and preamp is going to be flat out expensive for most folks and those that really want it won't bat an eye at the price. Still a bargain compared to most of the $hit that's out there. This is hand made custom equipment made by true craftsman/artisan/master. I am convinced at this point that people really don't know true quality when they see it. |
