Cary SLP-98L F1-DC (direct-coupled) Preamplifier + extra tubes

This is the custom F1 version of famed SLP-98, from Upscale Audio, in Jaguar Anthracite lacquer with silver faceplate, paper-in-oil caps and direct-coupled output for greater "pop", power and speed at the frequency extremes (particularly the bass). No syrupy sound here! No Phono-stage.

Mint condition - I'm 2nd owner, bought a year and half back on agon and with my waning interest and time for audio, haven't even plugged it in :( So its time for this wonderful unit to get a good home ! Previous (1st owner) was self described anal-retentive 'phile, who used it in a dedicated listening room with no pets, kids nor smoke. Who rated it 9/10 only due to age. I'm rating it 8/10 to be safe.

Ships with owner's manual, all original packing, remote, power cord & umbilical to power supply, and four 6SN7s: 2 used Electro-Harmonix (for the sonically less critical rear positions) and (at full asking price only) 2 used 1960s Sylvania VT-231/6SN7GT (favorite 6SN7). If sold for less than full asking price,ships only with unused stock Chinese tubes and EH 6SN7s.
