This is the SLP-98P F1 with MM phono stage. It is a full Formula One modded SLP-98P. Factory modified to Hexfred High Speed Low Noise Rectifiers, Direct Coupled Line Section, Jensen Oil Coupling Caps in Phono Section, 2uf Audio 1 Oil Audio Output Caps, Greyhill Selector Switch, & Kimber Kable Wire. The unit is in nice shape with minor imperfections which were hard to photograph, faint superficial scratches(see photos). While the faceplate silkscreening is fine, the black anodized aluminum has faded to a purplish hue. New SLP-98P F1 are selling for over twice the asking price. Comes with tubes, remote control, original packing and manual. The tubes in the pics are not the ones that will come with it. I will include 4 american NOS tubes.

| Thanks. Did you buy from the original owner? Did he say when he purchased the unit or how old the unit is? Any performance or function issues? Regards I am the third owner, the second owner said it was around 4 years old. I have had it around a year. It works perfectly, and sounds amazing. I have heard $15,000 preamps that don't even approach the quality of what Cary has done with this model. it's painful to sell it. I have to downsize my system for my other hobby which is playing guitar in a band. It also can get quite expensive. |
