Audio Research VT100 MK III 100W tube amp with 6H30 Supertubes

This is the highly acclaimed Audio Research VT100 MK III (original, NOT upgraded) pure tube power amplifier which utilizes advanced technology of the flagship Reference Series models. Rated at 100 watts pure tube power per channel, the VT100 MKIII is able to drive almost any speaker in the market with aplomb. The VT100MKIII is a Class AB, differential circuit design using two matched pair of 6550 output tubes in each channel, along with 6H30 super tubes on each channel for input and driver stages.

Inputs include both single ended RCA and balanced XLR. Output terminals are custom-machined, heavy duty, old-over-brass posts for long term reliability. The VT100 MKIII is a successor of the already highly acclaimed VT100MK III that was rated Stereophile Class A, and the reviewer Robert Reina was so impressed with it till he thought the VT100 MKII raises the standard bar and giving a tough time for other amp manufacturer.

 This is the amp designed by the late William Z. Johnson and like most of his tube design at ARC (like the earlier SP10, SP11), it is a highly sought unit and will probably go up in value in the future.

All tubes are running strong and have probably 800-1200 hours on them. So you still have plenty of tube life left and if you are like me listen to hi-fi during weekend for a few hours, you will be fine for another 4-5 years. I haven't used the VT100MK III for the past 14 months and most likely not using it for awhile due to the newborn baby. I prefer it can find a good home rather than sitting here gathering dust.

The VT100 MK III is in great condition as you can see from the pictures, I will include the handles which I never bother to attach them to the front plate, it works perfectly and sings beautifully with my Rogers LS3/5A and Audio Physics Virgo. I have the original ARC double shipping boxes and manual.
