Highly rated tonearm. Never mounted after purchase. Comes with extra long 1.5m tonearm cable. Had the dealer reterminate the original stock tonearm cable with XLR connectors. Retermination and rewiring was done professionally by Purist Audio and the internal core cable was replaced and upgraded using Purist Proteus wire. External shield and insulation is still original purple Discovery cable. The original stock Discovery cable is probably the weak link for the Talea 2 but not for this unit. Tonearm cable is now a little shorter about 1.4m after retermination. Shipping charges is via UPS ground and insurance for full amount. Paypal fees 3% to be paid by buyer.
Reason for sale is that my new phonostage has only RCA terminals.

Questions for the seller
Good afternoon Ddriveman! Please forgive me but I am having a little trouble following your ad... You took the stock cable and had it re terminated for XLR's but yet you NEVER actually used the arm?..Then, while NOT using the arm you bought a NEW phono stage that uses the original RCA'S you re terminated, yes? Most unusual...Yet great feedback!:-) How long ago was this process done and how old is the tone Arm? Have you stored it in case or had it on your TT? Thanks so much for your time and patience! Regards, Jake
Yes, Yes, and Yes. Ok, long story, Here goes. I bought the arm about 18 months ago from a dealer. I had intended it for my Galibier Gavia turntable. At about that time, Galibier was upgrading the Gavia with a new arm mounting board and new speed controller/motor. I had the dealer reterminate the arm cable connectors because my phonostage uses only XLR inputs. And we chose Purist audio (the dealer was also a Purist audio dealer) to do the job. Purist came back and said that they had to replace the inner conductor of the stock Discovery cable and they used their Purist Proteus cable. So, its an added bonus as the Proteus is a much high prce and rated cable than the Discovery cable. All this took several weeks while my Gavia turntable was taken done waiting for new armboard machined for the Talea and speed controller. Well, It took the several months before my Gavia came back together again. Around that time, I acquired another turntable and spent several months putting it together. Its a vintage Technics SP10mk3 which had to be refurbished, replinthed etc. I have 3 other tonearms so, I was busy trying to setup TT using my existing and known arms. And finally when all came together, I bought another phonostage, the Wavac LCR-X2 which can only take RCA inputs. Rather than reterminate my Talea again, I have now decided to let it go. OK? During this time, the arm has been stored in its case. The dealer did mount and test/demo it but usage time is only hours.
