Velodyne Optimum 12 Subs (Pair) Gloss Black Lacquer - As New - Original Owner

Offered for sale is a pair of Velodyne Optimum 12 Subwoofers, Serial Numbers 740301109 & 740301153. I purchased these subwoofers just 9 weeks ago to support the low frequencies of a new system I was setting up. My main speakers were a pair of vintage McIntosh XRT18 speakers that I had restored. After 2 weeks of listening, tweaking, more listening and more tweaking, I was surprised that the pair of 12” woofers in the XRT18’s (which go down to 20Hz) gave me sufficient bass without the necessity of subwoofers.

These are wonderful (and beautiful) 12” subwoofers with lots of power and great features. I think the neatest feature is the EQ button which allows the room bass correction system to automatically adjust the 7-band digital equalizer, providing optimized performance for any home entertainment system. I found the auto EQ feature gave the most accurate, and best quality bass response compared to the 4 pre-sets.

The Optimum series subwoofer delivers 2400 watts of dynamic power and 1200 watts of continuous RMS power. They have an amazing overall frequency response of 13-240Hz, and a frequency response of 21-135Hz +/- 3dB. Theses subs have been used for only 2 weeks for auditioning purposes, and are in like new condition. Please go to the Velodyne website to review the many features, specs and user’s manual, as they are a current production model.

These Optimum 12’s retail for $1,799 each. I purchased these subs from an authorized Velodyne Dealer, and they were shipped to me directly from the factory in CA on June 13th. I will be happy to furnish any interested party, or the new owner with a copy of the sales/shipping invoice.

Sale includes everything that came with each unit – remote control, power cord, microphone, microphone cable, warranty card, and original double shipping boxes. Like many companies today, owner's manuals are available online. I have included a copy of the owner's manual with each sub.

Although the listed price of $2,200 is for both subwoofers, I would consider selling a single unit for $1,150 if only one subwoofer is needed for your system.
