Velodyne Optimum 12 Subwoofer - Gloss Black Lacquer - As New
Offered for sale is a Velodyne Optimum 12 Subwoofer. Although the photos show 2 of these subwoofers, I sold one since the original posting of this sale, so I have only one left.
I purchased this subwoofer 5 months ago to support the low frequencies of a new system I was setting up. My main speakers were a pair of vintage McIntosh XRT18 speakers that I had restored. After 2 weeks of listening, tweaking, more listening and more tweaking, I was surprised that the pair of 12” woofers in the XRT18’s (which go down to 20Hz) gave me sufficient bass without the necessity of a subwoofer.
This is a wonderful (and beautiful) 12” subwoofer with lots of power and great features. I think the neatest feature is the EQ button which allows the room bass correction system to automatically adjust the 7-band digital equalizer, providing optimized performance for any home entertainment system.
The Optimum series subwoofer delivers 2400 watts of dynamic power and 1200 watts of continuous RMS power. They have an amazing overall frequency response of 13-240Hz, and a frequency response of 21-135Hz +/- 3dB. This sub has been used for only 2 weeks for auditioning purposes, and is in like new condition. Please go to the Velodyne website to review the many features, specs and user’s manual, as they are a current production model.
These Optimum 12’s retail for $1,799. I purchased this sub from an authorized Velodyne Dealer, and it was shipped to me directly from the factory in CA on June 13th. I will be happy to furnish any interested party, or the new owner with a copy of the sales/shipping invoice.
Sale includes everything that came with the unit – remote control, power cord, microphone, microphone cable, warranty card, and original double shipping boxes. Like many companies today, user manuals are available online. A copy of the user manual will be included.
The unit weighs about 50 lbs. in it’s shipping container. I will ship only to a continental U.S. address. Please email me with any questions. Thanks.
