We have a gorgeous example of a Sonus Faber Domus line Gravis subwoofer. Finished in warm and elegant teak, its a beautiful example of what Italian design can do with a high performance subwoofer. This is a showroom demo, but in perfect condition. No scratches or scuffs and like new with the box and manual.
But does it perform! The Gravis subwoofer features a 12" front-firing driver powered by a 200-watt MOSFET amplifier, coupled to a downward firing 10" passive radiator. The built-in low pass filter offers six selectable crossover points (24db/octave) between 38Hz and 65Hz. There's a phase switch, and RCA and XLR inputs. Because of its graceful shape, and leather and wood trim, the Gravis is one subwoofer that doesn't require hiding.
Due to the highly tuned passive radiator and the Mos-Fet amp, the sub is one of the more musical subs we've ever heard. It will take you where you need to go in the .1 channel of a soundtrack, but couple it with a a high quality pair of bookshelf or floor-standing speakers and it solidly anchors the sound and grounds you with a life-like experience... very unlike most thumpy or boomy subs.
