More goodies that I am offering. A while ago I acquired a pretty big stock of NOS ADC cartridges and Stylii from a local store that has been in business for about 40 years. They were a huge ADC dealer at the height of the vinyl era and had these remaining NOS items stashed away. I will be posting some of the cartridges in some other ads later, keep watching my ads.

Anyway, these are genuine NOS replacement stylii for the amazing XLM-III cartridge. These are actually ST-XLM-III stylii, which are some of the latest and best versions made before the end of the era. As such these have the best Omni-pivot suspension system, and they have jewel grade, square shank, nude elliptical stylus with highly polished .0002 x .0007 tips and tapered aluminum cantilever.

This stylus fits any XLM body and will upgrade lower models (XLM-1, XLM-II, XLM-II Improved, Integra XLM, etc...) to XLM-III status. It will also fit many other ADC bodies such as QLM and ZLM.

I have a small quantity of these. I will be keeping a handful for myself but I am offering the rest of them here to Audiogon members. If these don't sell here then they will be going to eBay where they will sell quickly.

Now, the best part... I have tested each and every one of these to ensure their function and sound quality and here's what I can say about them. The suspension is perfect. I have a record with a nasty, short & fast warp in it, these units flew through that warp without any hiccups tracking perfectly at 1.2 grams. I did not test these at lower or higher tracking forces, and at 1.2 grams I could see absolutely no evidence of suspension weakness.

The sound of these is absolutely stunning. You might have noticed I have a couple of high end Shure V15V's for sale. Honestly in my opinion the XLM-III with one of these stylii beats the Shure V15V's. You opinion may vary, but on 2 of the systems I have, the XLM-III just sounded much more dynamic.

I will also offer a 5 day trial to members with good standing. If you don't like what you hear, send it back to me in the same condition it is in, and I will cheerfully send you a replacement. I'm not a store so refunds aren't an option, and I will be recording very detailed images of each unit that gets shipped so there is no chance of sending me back a different unit.

These have all been specially marked in a unique way which is identifiable under microscope only, this is to protect myself from people that might want to try and pull a fast one.

Look closely at the pictures, I tried my best to capture the detail. The unit you receive will be different but it comes from the same lot and is brand new genuine NOS. They are all built exactly the same, and all performed equally well in the tests.

I have a couple of brand new NOS ADC ST-XLM-II which I will be posting soon. These are the low inductance black body XLM-II cartridges factory mounted on an ADC carbon fiber headshell (removable of course). Putting one of these XLM-III stylii onto that cartridge gives you one of the best sounding XLM-III combinations you can find.

I had opened this up for offers previously but sadly people made offers that wasted my time so unfortunately for some of you, I am not accepting offers on these any longer. At $99 these are a great deal, and let me state again, these are genuine NOS made by ADC, not made by any 3rd party and branded as ADC. Last note:

I just picked up some NOS ADC XT-II and XT-III stylii. These have a slightly different shape to them (no flip down guard) but they fit on the same bodies so they could also be used. The XT-II will be going for $69 and the XT-III will be going for $89. They have the same stylus/cantilever assemblies as the ST-XLM II and ST-XLM III stylii, meaning Diabasa Elliptical 0.0003 x 0.0007 for the XT-II and square shank nude Elliptical 0.0002 x 0.0007 for the XT-III. Contact me if you want more detail on these, I haven't had time to take detailed pictures.
