ZOETHECUS STANDS / BLACK DIAMOND RACING SOURCE SHELF COMBINATION

Gorgeous and top performing combination that competes with the best offerings on the market today. All six of the shelves on the Zoethecus stands are the optional Z-Slab model-  (From the web site) "The heart of the Zoethecus system is the Z Slab. The hand-laid composite core consists of 10 discrete sub-layers of phenolic, viscous damping fluid, aluminum and high density fiberboard to thoroughly dissipate component resonance. This top-of-the-line 15-pound slab is perfect for heavy amps, transports and turntables."  In addition to the six Z-Slab shelves, two 27" x 21" Black Diamond Racing Source Shelves are included. These were sized to fit perfectly on top of the Zoethecus stand uprights, utilizing Herbie Tenderfoot Pads in between for even further isolation. I placed my CEC transport and Nottingham turntable on top of the Black Diamond Racing shelves with excellent results. I have all the factory shipping boxes for the Zoethecus stands / shelves and one of the original shipping boxes for one of the Black Diamond Source shelves.  The other Black Diamond Shelf with be competently packed.......just check my feedback when it comes to packing. There is one tiny mark on one of the wood front to back shelf supports on one of the Zoethecus stands. I never used tip toes on top of the Z-Slab shelves but there are a couple of slight factory imperfections in the aluminum surface. The stands are cherry and beautiful. The Black Diamond Source shelves are scratch free, as new. It is my opinion that this combination is much, much closer to a 9 rating. ADDENDUM  #1- There is 11" of space between shelves.  ADDENDUM #2-  In response to a member concerned about the weight capacity of the Black Diamond Source Shelf, please look at the latest two pictures I have uploaded. They depict 240lbs(!!!) of salt piled atop the Black Diamond Source Shelf.  You will note that there is zero deflection in the shelf.
