This is a Factory Refurbished complete set of Magnepan Tympani IVa Magneplaners; 2 Midrange/Tweeter panels and 4 Bass panels, plus a pair of Audio Research EC22 Cross-Overs, possibly the best to pair up with these Magneplaners.

9/10 condition. Cost of Magnepan's refurb: $2,800 (Speakers get nearly completely rebuilt as newer, better adhesives are used to hold wire to ribbon.

A mishap and a very patient customer lead to a set of factory refurbished, still never out of the box - speakers that were left for over 15 years at Magnepan's Minneapolis factory! Lightly used for ten years previously by an Audiophile named Gustave of MN.

Having sent them in to be refurbished abt 1995, the work was done and they sat waiting for an owner that was never notified. He patiently waited 15 years before calling, not realizing they had been done for years. In the mean time, Gustave had bought other speakers and thus never took these out of the box. The winning bidder will be given a phone # to verify this incredible story with the President of Magnepan.

Back in 2011, Gustave sold them to a friend of mine, Brad, who lives here in Minot. Brad's home got flooded later that year (not the speakers!) and he was in need of quick cash a few months back as he rebuilds, and had to part with them as well....and that is how I came to have this pristine set of Magnepan Speakers...still unopened! & Audio Research EC22 Crossovers are also in 9/10 condition.

The speakers and crossovers weight approx 310 lbs. You are welcome to come to beautiful Minot, ND and pick them up if you like. If you need them shipped, you should check with UPS Ground & Fed-Ex Ground as they usually are best for heavy items.
