Pioneer Elite SX-A9-J stereo integrated/receiver in excellent condition

I'm the original owner and I haven’t used it for the last two years. It’s a compact but heavy integrated amplifier offering a conservatively rated 55W/8Ohms and 70W/8Ohms per channel output. It includes 4RCA inputs, MM/MC phono input, a USB input for PC/Laptop music files play, pre output and tape output, AM/FM tuner, remote control, stereo balance and bass/treble tone controls. It has a Sound Retriever, which restores some of the lost bandwidth when playing compressed audio from MP-3. For audio purists ‘Direct’ bypasses all this for a cleaner sound. Build quality is excellent, with a honeycomb chassis. It is a dual/mono design, with a big twin torroidal transformer and one power supply – for each channel. As a result, stereo sound-staging is particularly wide and deep. All the units have been ‘fine-tuned’ with input from recording engineers at AIR Studios, London. I honestly believe it offers a lot for the money and it hard to beat at this price. I have the original box for shipping. This hidden jewel drove my PSB stratus silver floor speakers with great results. Reason for sale is the fact that I upgraded to separates more than two years ago.
