Naim Audio NAIT XS

Picked this up here on A'gon from a reputable dealer, who was selling this as an XS-2. Even though the naim box indicates its an XS-2, the serial number on chassis indicates it was made around 2011. It was sold with scratches and can be seen in the pictures. This did not bother me since I put it in the rack, I forgot about it.  
Functionally I would say its 10/10 but keep in mind I only used the CD input and the remote was only used for volume control. Cosmetically, well you can see some chips on the top cover, edge of front fascia and front face. Again this didn't bother me since its in a rack. You could probably used a magic marker or something to touch up the blemishes - I didnt feel a need for it.
It comes with remote, original box AND Naim speaker cables which I have not used. I believe its terminated at the end that connects to the XS speaker connections but is not terminated  at the speaker side.   
I bought this see if it was better than my Naim Nait 5i and Rega Brio-R. I can say without a doubt its much better than both. Of course its closer to the 5i than Brio and has similar sonic characteristics to the 5i, but I found it had better PRAT and better control of the bass. The extra wattage certainly helped as well. Instead of hovering around 12oclock on my 5i I was sitting at 9oclock.....your setup with speakers will dictate differently.   
If you never heard Naim, what PRAT is all about, here is your chance. I had planned to keep this forever, until i heard I good it was, now I am going higher up the Naim chain.
If the unit arrives and the remote volume control does not work, this is a known packing glitch and is easily remedied by pulling the volume control knob a little towards you. This can also be found on Naim forum.
