This is truly an exceptional  passive preamplifier. I am the second owner and have had it for less than a year. If I weren't in a period of radical downsizing to pay for home renovation bills, I would not sell this.  In case you aren't familiar with the concept behind this kind of passive pre-amp, unlike conventional pre-amplifiers which use potentiometers for attenuation, the MFA uses two transformers, one for each channel, each my myriad taps, which has the
benefit of isolation from the source and impedance matching to amplifiers, as
well as breaking ground loops and thereby reducing noise.

The control switches are high grade Elma 20-position switches
which connect the different transformer windings via high-grade audio
wire. It features 6 inputs, two balanced XLR and four standard RCA. Output is via 1 pair single-ended RCA and 1 pair balanced XLR. There is also a switch to add 6 dB of gain and one to try different ground lifting techniques to reduce noise. The transformers have a wide and flat Frequency Response of 10 Hz - 300kHz
within a tolerance of + or - 0.5dB. The sound is tremendous, with a flow and verve to the music that other pre-amplifiers fail to
achieve. Holographic soundstage and excellent dynamics. I have even used one of the outputs with a home-made headphone adapter to incredible effect. Impedance matched and dead quiet on any kind of headphone I tried.
