My father purchased this preamp new in 1969 and handed it down to me about 15 years ago. It was refurbished by Terry Dewick in Knoxville TN in August of 2009. Works great. I think the case is Walnut but am not sure. There is a minor defect in the black paint on the back side of the glass (see picture - area between the words "balance" and "volume").
