I have acquired a real sweet little MC250 and wish to say farewell to a mint MA6200 purchased from Audio Classics less than 18-months ago. I don't use the term "mint" lightly. No rust, bubbles, etc. Back as clean as the front. All lights work strong. Will come in a new Audio Classics double box. If not an outright sale, I would be keen to trade for a clean C29 or C33. (Sorry, those are the only two SS amps I'd be interested in at this time.) Or if you have a nice MX110Z and want to try working out something for the 6200 and a mint MR78 that would be peachy as well! The unit functions like an absolute dream except that the power switch recently stopped turning the unit on and off. The light is on above it, but one has to unplug the unit to power down. Most likely just a dirty switch. I won't blather on about the MA6200 as one of the amps that exudes everything cool and right and soulful about old Mac gear. To find one in this condition is rare. If you're a vintage Mac person (as I've been for 40+ years), you know well its place as one of the very best integrated amps Mac ever designed back when Gordon Gow ruled the roost and Binghamton was hummin' big time!! Anyway, thanks for looking. I ideally want to see this beauty go to a true vintage McIntosh enthusiast. It really is collector quality.

Questions for the seller
Hey now, is the phono stage functional on this beauty? Thanks!
Works perfectly. and sounds like all Mac phono stages of that era: music. I've used a VPI Scout with a high output MC and an MMF-7 with the same. The five band equalizer is really useful when listening to some vinyl. As well, the Variable Loudness control was perhaps the signal most important function on any Mac. Why they dropped it is a mystery to me! Read up on it, but basically allows one to listen at very low volume but with perfect and full sound. Hope this helps. Best, John
