Linn AV-5105 Stereo Power Amplifier

Up for unreserved auction is one used Linn AV-5105 stereo power amplifier with some damage to the back left corner of the case work. The corner was bent inwards and was later pried back into place but the metal is damaged at the corner and paint has been scraped off. From front on it is hardly noticeable and if you put it in a stand you won’t see it at all.

Other than the damage to the back corner the rest of the case is in very good condition.

There is no internal damage to the amplifier and it functions perfectly and sounds great.

This is a dual mono amplifier with fully regulated power supplies. The signal path is DC coupled and servo controlled for the lowest possible distortion. It is fully protected into any load with overload, over-temperature, full short and overdrive protection.

It is rated to deliver 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 200 watts into 4 ohms. The manual says it is even stable into 2 ohm loads but the protection circuits will trip if trying to output more than 400 watts into a 2 ohm load.

This unit is 16 years old and had a retail price of $1,795.

I do not have the original box for this but it will be very well packaged for safe shipping.
